Welcome to the MOLE SQUAD !! (Chemistry Tutoring) BRIEF BACKGROUND: Basically for all those who have taken a Chemistry course and have had the honorable privelege of haveing Mr. Chill as their teacher, you should know what the heck a mole has to do with chemtrisy. For all the newbees, a mole (not the cute fuzzy critter) The mole is defined as the amount of substance of a system that contains as many "elemental entities" (e.g. atoms, molecules, ions, electrons) as there are atoms in 12 g of carbon-12 (12C). A mole has 6.0221415×1023 atoms or molecules of the pure substance being measured. A mole will possess mass approximately equal to the substance's molecular/atomic weight in grams. Because of this you can measure the number of moles in a pure substance by weighing it and comparing the result to its molecular/atomic weight. So in lamementerms, a mole of any substance is equal to 6.0221415×1023 atoms or molecules of the pure substance being measured. With that being said, this is basically a tutoring club in which those who need help in chem, get one-on-one help .
